They said that assemble the use of leaf color seal assembly. Can I with an iron fist? Is it necessary for a company that has great mount press, dry? Aluminum is a better way to go? A real help is welcome.

I am not a photographer, but I'm an artist and architect - so I give him the benefit of my knowledge in this area ...

Rust is a problem for you. Since rust a powder that remains on the surface of steel is, we think we are all only on the powder and dust finally away from the steel firmly attached, and the role of the same. And steel will continue to rust, unless the air-seal (iron oxide = rust) is caused by exposure to oxygen. However, there is the metal seal with a varnish your time, there is no guarantee that the oxidized part is not yet fully separated from the metal. My vote goes to aluminum.

When you browse the Site Seal Adhesives, note that the thermal compound is best used when the paper mounting for the role - perhaps not a good choice for metal. A film adhesive would probably be better, but I suggest you take you directly contact for information about the film that works best with this support, and the product offers a free acid between the layers of barriers and supportPort.

Iron and steel industry is undoubtedly a means to an end with respect to the means of the photographic archives, to take into account only the variety of over 100 years old Tintypes (also known as Tintypes known) to find any antique store navigation. In terms of say, iron rust, the pH value of about 5-7, which, as you well know, because if this value could be more than 7 to sour, and it would ruin his mark in the time that the leaching of acid in the paper. What the labels, you should try to glue because it is pH neutral and destroy custom printing. I also suggest that increasing certain types of crystals, the finished project, because the air can (the main causes of archivalness images and halt of iron or steel from further oxidation) and pictures of sensitive First Worlds Niepce photo frame is encapsulated in an inert gas .

Check with your university department of local comminity art. I have seen students do this occasionally, and it works well if the theme is "industrial" in nature.
